The incredibly juicy chocolate cake is simply irresistible! The recipe makes do with very simple ingredients - the most important is of course real chocolate. But the sour cream is also a must - the dairy product ensures the perfect consistency. For birthdays, parties or coffee klatsches - nothing beats this simple chocolate cake recipe!

Ingredients

  • 250 g Dark chocolate
  • 250 g Butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 1/2 TSP. Baking Powder
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 250 g Schmand
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chocolate Rolls

Directions

    Chop the chocolate and melt it over a warm water bath, let it cool down lukewarm.

    Cream butter and sugar for about 8 minutes. Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix flour, baking powder and cocoa and also alternately stir in with the sour cream. Mix in chocolate.

    Pour the chocolate dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø) and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 45 minutes. Take out and let cool down. Dust with icing sugar. Decorate the chocolate cake as you like with chocolate rolls.
