Peel and wash the celery and cut it first into slices, then into sticks about 1 cm thick. Cook in little boiling salted water for 6-8 minutes, drain. In the meantime, preheat the oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: see
manufacturer). Dice the ham. Boil up the cream. Dice cheese, melt in cream, season with pepper.
Mix celery and ham. Pour into four small or one large greased casserole dish. Pour cheese cream over it. Bake in a hot oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
