Flammkuchen with bacon, dates and goat cheese

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 150 g streaky bacon
  • 2 red onions
  • 150 g pitted, dried dates
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 fresh tarte flambée dough rolled out ready to bake on baking paper (approx. 40 x 24 cm; refrigerated shelf, 260 g each)
  • 200 g Fresh cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 200 g Fresh goat's cheese taler
  • 4 TABLESPOONS liquid honey
  • 50 g Rocket

Directions

    Cut the bacon into strips. Onions peel, halve and cut into strips. Cut dates into slices. Wash and halve tomatoes. Unroll doughs and put each on a baking tray.

    Spread the crème fraîche on the dough, season with salt and pepper. Spread the rest of the prepared ingredients on top. Cut the cheese into thin thalers and spread on the tarte flambée. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of honey.

    Bake in preheated oven (electric oven: 225 °C/ convection oven: 200 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 15 minutes each. In the meantime, sift the rocket, wash and shake dry. Cover tarte flambée with rocket and cut into pieces.
