Wash the potatoes and cook covered in a little water for about 20 minutes. Drain, peel and let cool. Peel and chop the onions. Dice the bacon. Cut potatoes into slices.
Fry the bacon in a pan until crispy, remove. Fry the potatoes in the bacon fat for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Add onions and bay leaves and fry everything else for another 5 minutes.
Add bacon cubes again and season everything with salt and pepper.
