  • 200 g Baguette
  • 60 g Butter
  • 800 g Leeks (leek)
  • 100 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 300 g Emmental cheese
  • 6 Eggs
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • some stem(s) Parsley and chives
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Cut the bread into slices and brush with butter. Roast in the oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 3 minutes. Clean, wash and cut leek into pieces. Cut the bacon into strips and leave them crispy. Add leek and sauté.

    Grate cheese. Separate eggs. Mix egg yolk, cheese and cream. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in. Season cheese mixture with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Grease casserole dish and pour in half of the cheese mixture. Spread bread and leek on top. Add the rest of the cheese mixture. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker 175 ° C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 40 minutes.
