Marzipan wafers with vanilla cream

Ingredients

  • 125 g cold marzipan paste
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 70 g sugar, salt
  • 4 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp 1 1/2 level teaspoon baking powder
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 package Vanilla sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON liquid vanilla flavour (bottle)
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar

Directions

    Finely grate the marzipan. Cream butter, marzipan, sugar and 1 pinch of salt with the whisk of the mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder. Alternately stir in milk and 125 g cream.

    Preheat the waffle iron and spread a thin layer of oil on it. Put about 2 tbsp. of dough in the middle of each waffle iron and bake about 12 golden yellow waffles one after the other. Whip 125 g cream until stiff, adding vanilla sugar and vanilla flavouring.

    Dust the waffles with icing sugar. Add vanilla cream and orange marmalade (see below).
