Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile peel onion and garlic and dice finely. Heat 1 teaspoon of fat. Sauté the onion cubes in it. Deglaze with cream.
Cook for about 5 minutes. Dice cheese roughly and melt in it. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Heat the remaining fat. Sauté garlic and scampi in it. Season with salt and lemon juice. Drain the pasta and arrange on plates with the sauce.
Scampi on it. Garnish with lemon wheels and lemon balm.
