Pineapple baked beans

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Pineapple (about 500 g each)
  • 200 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 2 can(s) (425 ml each) baked beans
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chili Flakes
  • 1 TEASPOON dried marjoram
  • 4 Stem/s Parsley

Directions

    Peel and roughly dice the onion. Clean and peel the pineapple, cut it in half lengthwise and remove the stalk. Cut the flesh into pieces. Cut bacon into strips. Heat oil in a pan.

    Fry the bacon until crispy. Add onion and pineapple, fry for 2-3 minutes. Add baked beans and bring to the boil. Season with salt, pepper, chilli and marjoram. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Wash the parsley, shake dry. Pluck the leaves and chop them. Sprinkle over the baked beans and serve.
