Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into small pieces. Cook the potatoes in plenty of boiling salted water for about 15 minutes. After about 7 minutes add noodles. In the meantime grate cheese. Bring cream and milk to the boil, melt 2/3 of the cheese in it while stirring.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Drain potatoes and noodles. Grease a large casserole dish, add potatoes and pasta. Pour sauce over it. Sprinkle with rest of cheese. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 5 minutes until the cheese has melted.
