Turnip soup with grilled sausage

Ingredients

  • 750 g Potatoes
  • 1.5 kg Turnips
  • 4 medium-sized onions
  • 5 TABLESPOONS butter/margarine
  • 1/4 l White wine (substitute broth)
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Vegetable broth
  • 2 TEASPOONS dried thyme
  • 150–200 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 20 small barbecue sausages
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 TABLESPOON Flour

Directions

    ##Peel potatoes, turnips and onions. Wash potatoes and ##sugar beets##. Chop everything but two onions. Fry in 3 tablespoons of hot fat for about 10 minutes, season.

    Deglaze with wine and 2 1/2 l water, bring to the boil. Add stock and thyme. Simmer covered for 20-30 minutes. Puree, refine with cream and season to taste

    Fry the sausages in hot oil for about 5 minutes. Cut the remaining onions into rings and turn them in flour. Fry in 2 tablespoons of hot fat while turning until crispy. Serve soup with sausages and onion rings
