Heat the vegetable stock. Peel garlic and cut into thin slices. Cut wholemeal bread into small cubes. Clean and wash the lettuce leaves, drain well and cut into fine strips. Fry garlic in hot fat.
Add bread cubes and fry until crispy. Add lettuce strips to the hot stock and season with salt and pepper. Serve the stock in deep plates. Add some roasted bread cubes and garlic slices. Add the rest extra
