Mix 125 g butter and sugar until creamy. Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder and stir into the dough alternating with milk and cream.
Preheat the waffle iron and grease with the soft butter. Bake the waffles one after the other.
Tips: - Grease the waffle iron and then put 2-3 tablespoons of batter in the middle of the waffle iron. This way the dough is evenly distributed. - Steam the finished waffles individually on a cake rack.
Do not lay them on top of each other, the waffles will quickly become sticky. - Chocolate or caramel syrup is also delicious with waffles, which are simply drizzled over the pastry.
- Filled waffle hearts are a hit as a dessert or for children's birthdays. Spray cream, quark cream or similar onto the individual hearts and cover them with a second heart.
- You can keep waffles warm in the oven at approx. 100 degrees until they are consumed. As an addition, simple things like icing sugar, whipped cream or fruit taste good. If you have a surprise visitor at your door, waffles are a proven "helper in times of need".
The dough is mixed quickly and the waffle iron does the rest. Good luck!.
