Peel the prawns, leaving the head and tail on them and place them in a deep plate. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Peel and grate ginger. Mix garlic and ginger in a bowl with allspice, garam masala, lemon juice and olive oil. Season with salt. Pour the marinade over the shrimps and rub it in. Cover and chill for approx. 30 minutes
Stick a wooden skewer into each shrimp from the tail lengthwise. Fry the prawns in a grill pan or on the barbecue for about 2 minutes on each side. Spread the marinade over and over again during the roasting
