Preheat oven (electric cooker: 225 °C/circulating air: 200 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Cut baguette in half horizontally, then cut each side into 4 pieces. Cut ham and cheese slices in half. Wash the tomatoes, then cut them into 4 slices each.
Peel garlic and chop finely. Mix crème fraîche, half the cream and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
Place 2 pieces of baguette in a small casserole dish. Drizzle with the rest of the cream. Spread ham, cheese and tomatoes on top. Pour cream mixture over it and bake in the hot oven for about 10 minutes.
