Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 800 g green beans
  • 1 kg floury potatoes
  • 1 Bread roll (from the previous day)
  • 4 Onions
  • 600 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 3-4 Tbsp Curry ketchup
  • 1 TEASPOON medium hot mustard
  • 1 TABLESPOON dried thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 3 Stem(s) Parsley
  • 10 g clarified butter
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 25 g Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 15 g Herb Butter

Directions

  1. 1

Clean the beans, wash them and put them aside. Peel potatoes and wash them thoroughly. For the meatballs, soak rolls in water. Peel and finely dice 1 onion. Knead minced meat, egg, squeezed out roll, ketchup, mustard, thyme and onion.

  2. 2

Season vigorously with salt and pepper. Form 8 meatballs from the mince mixture. Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water for about 25 minutes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meatballs, possibly in 2 portions on each side, for 5-6 minutes at medium heat.

  3. 3

Put the beans into boiling salted water and cook for about 12 minutes. In the meantime wash parsley, shake dry and chop finely. Peel 3 onions and cut into rings. Heat clarified butter in a small pan and fry the onion rings in it while turning and remove.

  4. 4

Heat milk and butter. Drain the potatoes, mash them with a potato masher and gradually add the milk. Season with nutmeg. Mix onion rings, except for a few for sprinkling, into the potatoes.

  5. 5

Heat herb butter in a frying pan. Drain the beans and turn in the herb butter. Serve the meatball, beans, mashed potatoes with onion rings and parsley sprinkled on plates. Ketchup tastes good with it.
