Peel the ginger and cut into slices. Scald ginger, thyme, sage and mint with 1⁄4 l boiling water, let stand for about 8 minutes. Remove herbs and ginger. Sweeten with honey or ginger syrup.
Helps therefore: Sage relieves sore throat, while thyme and mint soothe dry cough. Unsweetened tea can also be taken for gargling.
