Cut Charentai melon into slices and remove seeds. Peel the flesh, cut into cubes and freeze for about 2 hours. Wash, clean and slice the strawberries. Wash basil. Put strawberries and basil in a glass jar (approx. 2.5 l capacity), fill up with 1.5 l still mineral or tap water. Chill for about 1 hour. Just before serving, add the frozen melon cubes.
