Peel and chop the onion and mash it finely. Cream butter and margarine. Add cream cheese and onion and stir for another 2-3 minutes. Stir the paprika into the cheese mixture until it takes on a pale pink colour. Season to taste with salt
Arrange the bung cheese in a bowl. Sprinkle with some paprika. Wash the chives, cut them into fine rolls and sprinkle over them. Serve with lye pastry, black pudding, liver sausage, sausage, gherkins and mustard.
