Clean the mushrooms and halve or quarter them depending on size. Peel onions and cut them into short strips. Heat 1 tablespoon of fat in a frying pan. Fry the mushrooms and onions for about 5 minutes while turning. Season with salt and pepper
Heat 2 tablespoons of fat in a 2nd frying pan and fry the spaetzle for approx. 10 minutes, turning them over. Season to taste with salt and nutmeg. Add the mushroom pan to the spaetzle and serve
