Braised cucumber gyros pan with tomatoes

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Braised cucumbers (à approx. 500 g; substitute for cucumbers)
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 600 g Gyros meat (meat counter; ready seasoned)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Olive oil
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 200 g Tsatsiki (refrigerated shelf)

Directions

    Peel the cucumbers, halve them lengthwise and remove the seeds with a tablespoon. Cut the cucumbers into slices. Wash the tomatoes.

    Heat a large pan without fat. Fry the meat for 5-8 minutes while turning it. Remove.

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the frying fat, briefly sauté the cucumbers in it. Add tomatoes and 200 ml water, bring to the boil. Simmer covered for 4-6 minutes.

    Add cream and meat and heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Arrange the cucumber gyros pan with tzatsiki. Roasted baguette tastes good with it.
